The Third and Final Workshop of GIACC-UNDP Pilot Project on the implementation and certification of the MS ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System in Federal Ministries, State Governments and Local Authorities.
Three federal ministries,state governments and local authorities were chosen and selected to partake in this pilot project. They are the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs, Penang, Kedah and Kelantan State Governments, Kuching North City Hall, Kangar Municipal Council and Kuala Langat District Council.
9 highly experienced facilitators were chosen to assist these organisations throughout the pilot project. They are industrial and technical experts as well as qualified auditors in the country on ABMS.
The main objective of this pilot project is to make Malaysia as the first country to have the public sector implement and certified with MS ISO 37001. And Malaysia will also serve as an example to other countries that want to implement ISO 37001.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Datuk Dr. Anis Yusal Yusoff, Deputy Director General of GIACC on behalf of Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed, Director General of GIACC.
It was then followed by a speech by Mr Niloy Banerjee, UNDP Resident Representative for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
Certificates of participation and appreciation were presented to representatives of each federal ministry,state government and local authority.
